Overview

"The Adventures of Henry the City Cat" is the first in a two-book series of true stories about a curious kitten who is unafraid of the world and ready to take it on. But for now, Henry has some growing up to do. Henry also has a lot to learn about surviving in the world before he can play with the experienced cats.

Kittens like children have to learn about life and the potential dangers all around them, before parents allow them to explore the world in their own backyard.

About the Author

After living and working around the country, Debby and her husband retired and moved to the Southwest to enjoy life near family. The enjoyment of free time without stress and deadlines wore off quickly for Debby.Debby decided to pursue her dream of writing, and began with non-fiction comic books for all ages to enjoy. It is her life with the most amazing and smartest Tuxedo Cat she named Henry. Debby shared over 17 years of joy and friendship with Henry or until his passing in 2020. He will be forever remembered in prose.Debby is a wife to a wonderful man, stepmom, and grandmother to six amazing grandchildren. Before that Debby was divorced, alone, and lonely. Looking for companionship, Debby visited a local animal shelter where she first met Henry. Henry was a very patient big brother to a frightened, crying, baby sister that Debby named Isabelle. Henry showed Isabelle where to find food, water, the litter box, and provided protection for Isabelle in a big, scary world. He often would calm her cries by licking her forehead over and over or until Isabelle slapped Henry in the face because she had had enough. It was this devotion to his sister that was the driving force in Debby adopting both Henry and Isabelle. Henry remained Isabelle's safety-net throughout their life together and until his death in 2020.Pets give us joy, and unconditional love. Sharing this life with Henry in text and photos has been a work of love and sweet memories.
