About the Author

Carol Lozier, MSW is a clinical social worker in private practice in Louisville, Kentucky. She graduated from Florida State University in 1989, and is licensed in the state of Kentucky. Carol has spent over twenty years counseling children and families, specializing in adoption and foster care issues. She is passionate about helping children heal from past trauma and loss.

Carol has written several articles, authors a blog, and is a contributing author to "The Foster Parenting Toolbox" (EMK Press, 2012). Carol's website, www.forever-families.com offers a biweekly blog, free downloadable tools for families, an excerpt of her book, and a supportive community of adoptive and foster parents.
