My interest in the tourism guides started when my youngest daughter, Vicky, was born 25 years ago. Vicky has Cerebral Palsy and has been a total inspiration to me and our whole family. After having Vicky I decided to change my occupation and became very involved with the differently able community. Going on vacation became more of a chore than a fun holiday, it did not matter what sort of holiday we went on (camping, hotel stays or in a cottage) we mostly found the accommodation in-accessible for one reason or another. The Accessibility Guide to Niagara Falls Ontario is the first tourism guide I have written in a series that will help the differently able community to have an enjoyable vacation with no surprises.
