About the Author

My P asked about whether I was going to write an "About the Author” page.
“Exciting times for you, dear author!” he said with a smile.
I never really felt I was an author until I saw those words. Of course, I always dreamed and thought there was a very remote possibility.
My profession was one that dealt with people and travel. I also had many other "odd jobs" along the way. However, they were not my true passions in life.
On my own journey, I had the harsh words from an ex who made me feel insecure in my own skin and I had my own obstacles to deal with in life. I became a single parent of three lovely children.
However, inspiration comes in many forms, from the people that you meet along the way to a continuing education course in compulsive gambling I took a few years ago. While I sat in the back of the room, I daydreamed about my life and the entire outline of "Sammie's story" hit me hard.
I believe that it was a gift and I was ready to become an author. I can do this!
