WHO IS ASHLEY LATIN?
Born in Portland, Oregon, at the tender age of three, Ashley Latin was suddenly put into the foster care system and never saw her mother, father or family again. Throughout childhood and her teenage years, she was bounced back and forth from foster care to juvenile detention and group homes. Growing up a part of the negligent Multnomah County foster system, she still held the belief that she was going to do something great and it kept her from falling into the world so many of her friends had, where most of them rebelled to the point of gang involvement, drug abuse, bad relationships or winded up in jail cells.
At the age of 16, she was moved to Las Vegas to live with adoptive parents and upon the first ride down the strip, knew that she was a lot closer to her dream than she had ever imagined. Driving past the bright lights, she recognized it to be a great opportunity for the aspirations that she had, knowing even while she was still in high school that she wasn’t going to leave the city until she made herself successful. Now twenty-six years old, Ashley Latin has made her home in Las Vegas for nine of those years and has been busy putting her dreams into reality.
With the release of her first novel, “That Fire in Their Eyes”, Ashley Latin is the hottest young author to hit the scenes. Aside from the success of completing her first fiction romance novel that is a controversial, steamy read based in Las Vegas, Ashley Latin has dedicated her time to the business of the entertainment industry to push her career to the top. She has been trained as an Associate Producer for Video Editing/Graphic Design, Advertising and Project Manager, and did voice-overs and VJ work for a local rating show for music videos.
After two internships, one at a Publishing company and the other at a television production company, she has launched V.I.P Graphics, a graphics design/advertising company that handles the advertising for businesses, products, and artists that need to get their name out there.
With a book released in February 2010 and a design company steadily growing, she still makes time for projects for the betterment of people and raises awareness about the foster care system, homelessness and abuse.
