About the Author

The late Don Blevins was a member of the Texas State Historical Association, the Writers League of Texas, and the Coalition of Texas Writers. He published two books and wrote articles for more than 50 magazines including American History Illustrated and True West. He was a longtime resident of San Marcos, Texas.

Paris Permenter and John Bigley are a husband-wife team of travel writers who make their home in the Hill Country west of Austin.
