About the Author

"Charles "Chuck" Herring Jr., of Herring & Panzer, L.L.P., is an experienced
litigator and an expert in the "law of lawyering" in Texas, including issues
of legal ethics, lawyer discipline, and legal malpractice. He also is author
of Texas Legal Malpractice & Lawyer Discipline (ALM rev. ed. 2015). Chuck
chaired the State Bar's Special Committee for the Prevention of Legal
Malpractice, and the Texas Supreme Court's Statewide Task Force on
Sanctions, and he served on the Texas Supreme Court's Advisory Committee and
the Court's Grievance Oversight Committee. Chuck is a 1975 honors graduate
of the University of Texas School of Law, is certified in Civil Trial Law,
and for many years has taught at the Texas Center for Legal Ethics."
