Overview

This revised and updated edition recalls the important events of Blessed Teresa's life: her call to join the Sisters of Loreto, her assignment to teach in Calcutta, her subsequent call to consecrate herself to the poor, her founding of the Missionaries of Charity, her receipt of the Nobel Prize for Peace, her strength of spirit in the face of illness, her death and beatification. The epitome of Christian charity, Blessed Teresa of Calcutta found God present among those who suffered the most.

Living the greater part of her life in India, Mother Teresa planted seeds of goodness throughout the entire world. Her presence and left an indelible print of kindness and holiness that earned her the reputation of a "living saint."
