Many think of the mind and body as two separate entities. In fact, the mind and body are inextricably linked-if one is unhealthy, there's a good chance the other is too. To improve one, you must improve the other.
Tennis Made Easy and Yoga of Mind and Body takes a unique approach to tennis instruction. In addition to providing practical tips on footing, grip, and timing, this book explores the role of yoga in improving one's athletic ability. Here is just some of what you'll find within these pages:
- A detailed description of a unique method of athletic concentration
- Suggestions for how to avoid injury
- Practical tips on how to improve your swing
- Yoga poses to strengthen the connection between the body and the mind
- Simple breathing and meditation techniques
Though it contains many useful tips on how to improve your tennis game, this helpful guide is much more than just a sports manual. As a retired physician and avid tennis player, author Rajah Sekaran can help you strike a balance between your mind and your body. You'll learn to use your inner strength to achieve success on and off the court!
