Overview

‘Ten Prayer Nuggets’ is a practical summary to help those who lead prayer meetings in a local church or any context. The booklet assumes individual prayer is vitally essential and vibrant. The nuggets are not a methodology, or a checklist, but instead practical tips to encourage, embed, and strengthen a culture of corporate prayer in any local church. The nuggets are intended to be short and easy to grasp or attempt, so that any local church can start, establish, or grow a culture of prayer, where the prayer meeting becomes like an engine room from which all other activity is empowered.

About the Author

Lloyd grew up in Zimbabwe and moved to the United Kingdom fifteen years ago, where he has been based for most of that time in and near Edinburgh, Scotland. Lloyd had always had a passion for prayer and revival and for the local and national church to experience a depth and intimacy in their relationship with Christ fuelled and sustained by prayer. Over the last few years Lloyd has been heavily involved with workplace evangelism which let to the prayer initiative known as the ‘Concert of Prayer for Scotland’ where God led him to gather Christians of all denominations to ‘Cry out mightily’ for the cities of Scotland, for God to come in power and move in the nation of Scotland. The ‘Concert of Prayer for Scotland’ came about after the realisation of the deep need all Christians have for the Holy Spirit to empower them in their everyday life so that their evangelistic efforts can bear fruit. Lately he has been involved in training church leaders, ministry leaders and whole churches to pray together, host prayer meetings, and create a culture of prayer so that prayer becomes the ‘engine room’ of the local church, powering and strengthening all other activities.
