Overview

The novel `Tarpor' illuminates the consciousness of the expatriate Bengali on the one hand, and on the other hand, the life of living in the belief of one's homeland has been revealed in a really beautiful background. Akash, the protagonist of the novel, marries a Canadian woman. At one point he came to his country with his ten-year-old daughter Sumana. An intimate relationship with a talking bird of his motherland adds a different dimension of the story. The main theme of the novel is the horizon of love memories with Falguni.
