When you're not reading A Song of Ice and Fire, pick this book up and you will find yourself just as lost! An amazingly well-written book! The song that inspired Kellianna to make it into a novel comes even more to life when you read the book. Highly recommended for anyone who loves fantasy, and anything having to do with ancient Scandinavian culture. I'm not even finished reading it yet and I'm ready for the next book in the series!
Amazing book. I love Kellianna's song Warrior Queen. This book is the pre-story for the song. The song is beautiful and the book is incredible. I love Llianna, she is so powerful and yet has no idea of the power, nor what prophecy has written into her weaving. The story carries you into her world as we watch transfixed as her path unfolds. Will she find the path too fearsome, can she fulfill that which destiny planned. The cast of characters around Lilianna are true and brave. I do not want the book to end I must know more, I need to know more, please. I eagerly await the next book.
Wow! A book that truly takes you into the life of Llianna, a child, girl, woman written into prophecy. Reading this book as like watching a movie, the characters and life of the story was so vivid. Difficult to put down the book. I highly recommend this book to read, and can not wait till book 2 comes out - I hope it's not too far away.
The threads of this wonderful story are rich, solid, and magical – each line braiding with each other elegantly to form its own glorious tapestry. The story itself is wonderful – extremely well researched, thought out, and written. The collaboration between the two authors – Kellianna and Kaalii Cargill, is noticeably one that was just meant to be. The characters practically leap from the book with vitality – each has its own rich past, experiences, and emotions. The pagan aspects of the tale – the elements, the circle, grounding, meditation, the powers of herbs and crystals, and the vast connection everything has to one another, makes the tale so much more special. If you are a Pagan, these references just suck you into the story and cement your part in it. If you are not Pagan, these aspects provide you with a true spiritual connection to the characters and plot. The references of myth and spiritual principles – Norse, Christian, Egyptian, and Hermetic, among others, add yet another rich layer to the tapestry of the story.
