Tales from the Ramayana
King Janaka has a problem. The time has come to marry off his eldest daughter, Sita, but it’s his opinion that no man exists who is worthy of his little girl. Seeing a way to keep her by his side, he proposes an impossible-to-win contest, confident no man will ever accomplish the deed he sets forth.

What Janaka never expects, however, is for his daughter to fall in love, or for the boy she falls in love with – to be a god incarnate!

The Ramayana, an ancient epic from India, is a wonderful story of battles and bravery, of courage and spiritual fulfillment. But at its heart, the Ramayana is a love story. The four short stories in this collection reveal the beginnings of that love.

About the Author

Diana Hunter first became interested in the Ramayana when she had a fellowship through the National Endowment for the Arts at Syracuse University. She’s told her own expounding on the epic to high school students nearly a hundred times since then, always enjoying modern day kids’ reactions to this ancient tale. With this set of stories, she begins a long-held desire to write her own version of the incredible love story of Ram and Sita.
Diana is also a published author of erotic romance, a very different genre from that of the Ramayana epic. You can find excerpts from all her books as well as purchasing and contact information on her website: http://www.dianahunter.net.
