Overview

Queen Asherah, a sibling Principality to Prince Marduk, cursebinds the beasts of nature to follow her against their will. Leviathans, naftalim, behemoths, byarns, and gnarls join her invasion force as it gathers on the Channel of Borealis facing the Javin heartland. The nation of Javin flees as refugees to the Middle Kingdom while the Army of the Sceptres races across the continent towards the Channel to thwart the invasion. "The enemy would establish a beachhead in hours if the Army catapults were anywhere other than on that beach." Outwitted and outmatched, common sense says flee, but the Sceptres cling to belief that they own the victory.

About the Author

From his hometown of Rainbow City, Alabama, Julius Buchanan has travelled the world. He's lived in New York, Connecticut, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taipei. Now he calls Phnom Penh, Cambodia, home. After a legal career in major law firms, financial market regulation, and an international megabank, Julius left it all on a journey of faith. That journey brought him to Cambodia, and now it brings his novels to you.

Julius writes fantasy novels that drill into the deep questions of life and faith. He doesn't just want to entertain you. He aims to leave you relishing life and finding your purpose for waking up tomorrow. He invites you into the universal battle between good and evil that happens all around us--most of all within us.

Julius draws inspiration from a myriad of sources including Greek and Hebrew scriptures, extensive travels in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, Chinese culture, Cambodian culture, and his native home, America.
