Overview

Yet another war in the Middle East has destroyed much of the world's oil supply. This, coupled with disease and contamination, has brought the world to the rim of extinction. In America, international troops have forced the remaining population away from the cold and contamination in the north and into a teeming urban environment in the south. World leaders are forced to conclude that there are several keys to humanity's survival. They must:

- eliminate competing monetary systems and move to a cashless society where no one's identity can be forged or stolen. A microchip embedded beneath the skin becomes the official solution.
- slow the depletion of revenue and manpower used in caring for an aging populace. A medical procedure insures the elderly are "useful" in performing menial tasks.
- limit the general population's communication, food, and transportation in order to conserve precious resources.
- prevent travel into the uncontrolled northern regions of North America (and other "zero population zones" established around the world).
- be certain both the government's message and it's surveillance are everywhere

Central to the success of this plan is the need to level the ground of all "exclusive" ideologies and religions.

Are all faiths one, or is there only one faith? Does the enforcement of this plan bring peace and safety, or does it create a growing, world-wide thirst for an ultimate savior? As millions weigh their rapidly evaporating choices, a man known as Swordsman dares to publicly declare truth.

Regardless of your thoughts on the "end times," SWORDSMAN will challenge you to consider the focus of your hope, and ask yourself if you have faith that endures. This book isn't about when Christians leave . . . it's about how they live.

About the Author

Terry is a Christian, the wife of one, mom of two, and grandma of four. She is also a writer and one who loves creativity in almost any form (be that drawing, painting, pottery, or making snowmen). She currently resides in North Carolina, with her professional pilot husband (her lifetime love) Bill.

She is currently working on a new series of fiction novels, The Scions of the Aegean C with the first novel due to launch in Spring.

About her writing, she says:

I have a passion to share spiritual life in a way that allows the reader to weigh the values of different ideologies from a non-threatening perspective. Because the genre of Science Fiction has always had a spiritual element, it's a perfect medium for expressing my love of God.

My hope is that as people read my books they might see:

-that the characters and their ideas are sometimes skewed--just like those of real people.
-even the eventual "heroes" in the story can sometimes move with false assumptions or impure motives--just like Moses, or David, or a hero we might see today.

-that people can be used by God despite who they are or what they intend.

As with the parables of old, I hope my books would inspire people to look at the ideas, assumptions, motives, problems, and situations in their own lives from a higher perspective.
