About the Author

Gwendolyn Cahill, the creator of Detective Swoop, graduated from the University of Hartford's Mass Communications program and received a Master of Science degree from The College of New Rochelle. She is a charter member of Lambda Tau Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Her fond love of art and music is highlighted in many of her writings. She is a volunteer at the Virginia Repertory Theater and has sung in gospel choirs in New York, New Jersey, and Virginia, including the McDonald’s Gospel Choir. Cahill sang in the Whitney Houston tribute at the Prudential Center in Newark. She is a former NYS Real Estate Broker, Child Protective, and Adult Protective Caseworker in Westchester County, NY. She retired from public service in 2014. Gwen is a Board Member of the Virginia State NAACP. Gwen is the mother of twins. She enjoys movies, plays, travel, and singing to her grandson, Courtney.
