On reaching the house he checked the horses and they were not on his property. He drove out his car and made to drive in search of them when there was a slight drizzle then lightening. As he made the turn off his property, a bolt light came from the sky and struck the hay stack he just offloaded. Turning back, he took out the fire extinguisher but the fire was fast and quick. He was overwhelmed. His other neighbor was half a mile away. He called the fire emergency and watched as his house burnt to the ground.
