Overview

This item is an ebook crochet pattern (U.S. abbreviations). Fast and simple, the baby cap is worked primarily in single crochet and has instructions for four sizes: preemie, newborn, 3 months and 6 months. (The sizing may vary depending on your yarn and the tightness of your stitches). The final piece has the look of a softly woven basket because of the stitch. It's so sweet and, being based on the idea of granny square crochet work, is super fast. Even the pom pom and the heart appliques are super easy, making this a sure favorite. It's usable for those little boys, too, if you work them in blue or grey with a sweet white stripe at the bottom. (usually no hearts, also).

It's super quick to crochet, the cap takes 40 to 60 minutes to make, for an experienced crocheter, There is a key to abbreviations, lots and lots of color photos, and special notes about working this project.

You'll need 2 or 3 sweater weight (medium or "worsted" weight yarn colors and a size J (6 mm) aluminum hook. (For the preemie size, use a lightweight/baby yarn and a size J hook). None of the hats will use up a skein of yarn, only half to three quarters of your typical skeins. If you wish to add an extra round of thread crochet edging on your hearts, you'll also need crochet thread (number 10 weight) and a size D (3.25) aluminum crochet hook.

Feel free to make and sell items from this pattern!
