Overview

Supercharged Combustion Volume I is an unedited tale of an introverted random tangent and her emotional disintegration as a result of losing a first love.

Her hidden emotions eventually vomit in the form of a series of letters she never sends, unfinished notes taken from her scribbles and journal entries. The end result is a girl who goes from boasting to vulnerable and everything in between.

This is the first of many volumes following the girl through her emotional self-destruction as she comes into her own through metaphors, kleenex and Air Supply.

born in hollywood's little armenia; raised in central california, southern orange county beach cities and los angeles. los angeles is her home where she resides with her jewelry artist husband and business partner and their 3 precocious children she refers to as her little friends she bullies. she has a slight obsession with the number 7, movies, tattoos, the moon, the observatory, tins and tech gadgets.

her creative passion has and always will be singing, which she now performs only for her children with lullabies and hopes to self-record her own work down the road. writing was her manipulation of emotions on paper she went to when she couldn't articulate herself growing up very introverted into adulthood.

by day, this wonder woman architects web products & platforms for start-ups and turnaround organizations; by night, she is a writer, blogger, co-founder of her husband's design firm trying to conquer the world with zero respect for capitalization while in love with her family.

Reads like a crash course in a young woman's quest for true love. I felt like i was peeking into the narrator's brain and watching their thoughts and feelings crystallize before me. As if Sylvia Plath and Emily Dickinson had a baby and fed it meth and fairytales.On more than one occasion i felt like a voyeur while reading due to the immersive language and editing style.

I felt this book was really strong emotionally and the author possesses a remarkable turn of phrase. At times I would feel myself getting sucked into the conflict and emotional turmoil of the narrator. This book is a window into how it feels to anyone who has ever been deeply hurt, whether is the first time or the 15th. This is definitely one that's going on the shelf and I will read it again.
