About the Author

Doug Mayberry was raised in Oklahoma and infected by newspaper ink while delivering newspapers as a young boy. He studied journalism in college and edited the Oklahoma Newspaper Association's magazine. He served two years in the U.S. Air Force and then began his civilian career as the manager of a small California newspaper and later newspaper owner.

For more than 35 years he was a salesman for the Los Angeles Times Syndicate. He now lives in a senior community of nearly 2,500 active adults, where he is considering taking up golf. He answers readers' questions and offers advice and options regarding seniors' health, wealth and personal relationships.
