About the Author

Sera Holland is a poet based in Houston, Texas. During the day, she works as an Urban Forester. During her free time, she devours fiction books, writes poetry, and goes running. She has been writing poetry since she was 7 years old. In 2014, she was awarded a Scholastic Gold Key for her poetry. In 2017, her poem "When the Crows Stopped Calling" was published in the Kinder Institute Journal for Constitutional Democracy. Sunflower is her first major publication.
