About the Author

Teri Halstead is a retired registered nurse with a master's degree in nursing education and the author of Caregiver Overwhelmed. How to Cope with Alzheimer's and Dementia Without Losing Your Mind. She has over 40 years of nursing experience, along with 20+ years in geriatrics, specializing in dementia care. During her service, she acquired hands-on experience working with dementia patients in nursing facilities, memory care, and home care settings. She used that knowledge to teach techniques for managing difficult behaviors to both co-workers and family caregivers.

She has now taken everything she's learned and created the "Dementia Care Made Easier" series of caregiver guidebooks. The purpose of these books is to help ease the burden of caregivers by giving them the most up to date information, care tips, and suggested action plans they can use in their daily lives.

When she's not writing, Teri can be found working in her tropical fruit gardens or walking the beach in the beautiful state of Florida.
