About the Author

Contributors include: Coco Simon, Zoe Evans, P.J. Night, Katie Davis, and Caro King.
From cupcakes to ice cream and donuts! When she’s not daydreaming about yummy snacks, Coco Simon edits children’s books and has written close to one hundred books for children, tweens, and young adults, which is a lot less than the number of cupcakes, ice cream cones, and donuts she’s eaten. She is the author of the Cupcake Diaries, the Sprinkle Sundays, and the Donut Dreams series. Her newest series is Cupcake Diaries: The New Batch.
Zoe Evans was very upset that her school did not have a cheerleading team, so instead she joined the Pep Squad where she raised school spirit while wearing a football jersey and a tennis skirt. Zoe has written over twenty books for readers of all ages. A graduate of Columbia University, she is also an experienced children’s book editor. Zoe loves reading, eating oysters, and of course, cheering.
A lifelong night owl, P.J. Night often works furiously into the wee hours of the morning, writing down spooky tales and dreaming up new stories of the supernatural and otherworldly. Although P.J.’s whereabouts are unknown at this time, we suspect the author lives in a drafty, old mansion where the floorboards creak when no one is there and the flickering candlelight creates shadows that creep along the walls. We truly wish we could tell you more, but we’ve been sworn to keep P.J.’s identity a secret…and it’s a secret we will take to our graves!
Katie Davis is the author/illustrator of seven previous picture books, including Who Hops?, and Kindergarten Rocks! (which the Department of Education in Georgia gave to every incoming kindergartner in the state). Her novel, The Curse of Addy McMahon (Greenwillow, 2008), is a Bank Street College of Education Best Children's Book of the Year.  Katie is also a regular guest on Good Morning Ct. (on ABC affiliate WTNH), recommending great books for children.
CARO KING was born in London and raised in Surrey where she lives with her partner, Kevin. She studied art and works at the Home Office. Seven Sorcerers came from a rainy lunchtime when she began mapping out the world of the Drift. Skerridge and his waistcoat came later.
