Chapter One
School is over! Sydney and her brother Logan are ready to start the summer with lots of fun. They have so much to look forward to this summer.
At the end of June, they will go to a summer day camp. At camp, they will learn to swim, make crafts, and meet many new friends.
Sydney and Logan will also ride go-carts. Logan likes to ride the go-carts. He dreams about what it really would be like if he was in a race and won.
In July, they will head to the beach in North Carolina. They love to build sandcastles. What fun! On the Fourth of July, they will get to see colorful and bright fireworks in the sky.
They will also ride bikes on the bike trails with their friends. Logan's bike still has training wheels.
In August, they will go to Florida for a family reunion. Logan and Sydney are excited to see their cousins and other relatives again.
Sydney and Logan always like summer. They love the school-free, warm days, fireflies at night, and most of all—ice cream!
