About the Author

Jesse Armstrong is one of the UK's foremost comedy writers. Alongside Sam Bain, he has written eight series of the BAFTA Award-winning Peep Show, as well as Fresh Meat, Bad Sugar and, with Chris Morris, Four Lions. Jesse also co-wrote The Thick of It, and the Oscar-nominated In the Loop as well as working on episodes of Black Mirror and Veep. He is the creator of HBO drama series Succession. He has won a screenwriting Emmy for each of the four seasons of Succession.
Jesse Armstrong is the co-creator and co-writer of the award-winning Channel 4 comedy Peep Show. He has also written for Channel 4 sketch show Smack the Pony and the children's series My Parents Are Aliens (CITV). Before becoming a full-time writer in 1997, he worked for a Labour MP and a member of the shadow Home Affairs team.
