SaFiya D. Hoskins, Ph.D. earned a doctorate in Urban Higher Education from Jackson State University in Jackson, MS; and,
from Howard University in Washington, DC she earned an MA in Communication and Culture and a BA in Journalism. Dr. Hoskins has written over 70 articles for the African American National Biography, a Harvard University project edited by Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Jr. on Oxford University Press and she has contributed to over 20 independent projects including an anthology of poetry.
