STRONGBEAR'S PENNY, A Hypnotic Fable To Overcome Verbal Abuse with Compassion, Healthy Living Meditation #8
This is a hypnotic fable. There is only one photo of a peaceful lake. It talks about how we should think and react when somebody else hurts our feelings and makes us so very sad in our heart, that our heart feels like it is filled with shattered glass. Strongbear, the main character, is a Native American Healer who talks to a girl who came to see him at his small house by a peaceful lake. They sit and talk, and the girl tells him what happened and why she is crying. He uses a penny as a teaching aide to help her feel much better and to learn about Compassionate Understanding for others. He reminds her what Jesus said....to forgive people, beacause they don't know what they are doing. He tells her that the penny is like Life...that it has two sides...a Light side and a Dark side. He teaches her what it means to feel compassion for those people who have hurt us, and to send them loving thoughts so they will feel better, and in doing so we will feel better too. Hurtful thoughts can be stopped and they don't have to be passed on to somebody else. At the end of the story, the little girl says her heart feels like it is filled with dancing flowers, and her pain is gone.
