About the Author

Durk Simmons began his unexpected career as a novelist with the publication of this, his first book. Before writing Strings of Connection, he was employed on cruise ships ported in San Juan Puerto Rico, which allowed him to travel extensively. After majoring in Psychology in college, he served 11 years in the United States Army, 1st as an aviation mechanic, and later as a Cobra attack helicopter pilot. Then, after massage school, he worked on several movies and TV productions as the personal holistic massage therapist to such celebrities as Tom Hanks, Meg Ryan and Lauren Becall. He feels that what has most qualified him to write this series is his love for Mother Earth, and his fear of what is happening to her, a fear shared by all Wiccans. Durk Simmons lives on the Eastern Shore of Maryland with his wife and kids, where he rides his Harley Davidson, and where they all enjoy the Chesapeake Bay and beauty the watershed area provides.
