Designed for students at all levels, this web-based management simulation offers a complete capstone business experience. Micromatic challenges students to analyze market and competitor trends in order to make strategic business decisions related to marketing (sales forecasts and pricing), operations (production, personnel, and R&D), and finance (debt/equity financing and cash flow). Students enter their decisions for processing, then analyze planned versus actual results to make adjustments for the next round of decisions. With its easy-to-use interface and proven customer service program, Micromatic provides a dynamic, competitive learning environment with superior technical support.

Micromatic's online format guarantees student and instructor access at any time and from any web-accessible location, allowing instructors to form teams across course sections, schools, or continents. Simulation can be completely computer managed—without any instructor intervention—or customized to meet course needs.

  • Players can engage in Team or Solo play. In Team play, students compete against other student-managed companies; in Solo play, users play independently as they compete against five computer-managed companies. Solo play allows instructors to create assignments that students can complete at their own pace.
  • A range of forecasting and analytical tools enhances the decision-making process for students. In addition, all Micromatic data files can be downloaded to Excel, allowing students to organize their results in detailed spreadsheets.
  • Moveable windows within Micromatic let students view multiple panels simultaneously. For example, students can enterchanges to the Marketing Decisions Panel and immediately see how those changes affect the Income and Cash Flow Panels.
  • All student activity within the system is tracked; instructors can assess student participation and learning throughout the life of the simulation.
