Overview

Strange Changes follows a young boy as he comes to terms with the changes in his life that have come about since the COVID-19 pandemic. From relatively trivial things like having to wear a mask outdoors or having his temperature scanned when entering a shop, to the scary things like having his dad and grandmother falling ill, he talks about all the new changes he is dealing with as he struggles to adapt to the "new normal".

Gwen Steverson has been writing poetry since she was a child, and has often used it as a sort of therapy. In her books, she aims to show children the importance of self-love, and expressing, understanding, and nurturing their feelings. Skills she admits she has not always possessed, and had to learn along the way. All her books and writings endeavor to help children grasp mature concepts in a simple to understand way.

Gwen's greatest passion is being a mother. Motherhood has been a huge inspiration for her own emotional and personal growth, and she truly feels that instilling self-love, compassion, and confidence gives children the greatest foundation.
