About the Author

Suzanne I. Barchers has a doctorate in education and is the author of eight books, a CD-ROM, and a music curriculum. After fifteen years as a classroom teacher, Barchers now works in publishing in Connecticut. Peter J. Rauen, certified executive chef through the American Culinary Federation, has worked in restaurants, hotels, and private clubs since 1975. Chef Rauen's board positions include The Chef and the Child Foundation, the Culinarians of Colorado, the Colorado Restaurant Association, and the Denver Children's Home. He is currently with Alliant Foodservice. Darcie Clark Frohardt taught art for several years at both private and public elementary schools before becoming a classroom teacher. She also has conducted workshops on teaching art and has illustrated three books. In her spare time she creates one-of-a-kind soft-sculpture figures.
