About the Author

Karen Hill was born and raised in Tucson Arizona, which is home to the world’s largest gem, mineral and fossil show since 1955. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Media Arts from the University of Arizona and a Masters degree in Industrial Design from Arizona State University. Karen’s family are avid travelers and hikers. Some of her most unique rocks have come from the bottom of the Grand Canyon, Horse Shoe Bend, and Loveland Pass on the Continental Divide.
