Stop Domestic Violence is a training manual for professionals, lay persons, and victims of family abuse in handling domestic abuse cases. The text covers the behavior of victims and perpetrators of domestic violence, interviewing victims and making records of abuse, restraining orders, arrest and prosecution of abusers, attempts to change abusive behavior, family abuse situations which can result in the death of an abuse victim or abuser, and networking among professionals such as police, prosecutors, clergy, social service agencies, press, educators, judges and others to resolve family violence situations. It also discusses trauma informed care, PTSD, the Stockholm Syndrome, battering and its effects, and the Battered Woman Syndrome. Safety planning is also detailed. My books aim to prevent violence.
