Still I Rise: My Journey to Conquer Chronic Pain
You CAN get your life back despite debilitating chronic pain and illness. I know, because I did. Let me take you on a journey inside the tormented psyche of a chronic pain sufferer, who lost it all, but held on to the will to survive. We will explore the ravaging effects uncontrolled pain has on ones' life and the constant struggles for effective relief within a broken, western, healthcare system. Then, I will teach you how to rise above it all. No sugarcoating. No BS. I'm going to reveal to you a combination of strategies that restored my life of total disability to that of living fully again in abundance. A lessened pain life is possible for us. A chronic pain free life is our birthright. Claim it.

*My story is an important one. We are currently living in times where rules and regulations to combat an opioid crisis have adversely affected the chronic pain community. MANY patients have been abandoned and left without good options and hope for pain control and quality of life. The unfortunate reality is, most patients are unable to benefit from many of the wonderful alternative therapies due to a perpetual state of severe pain. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to heavily advocate on individual and system levels for humane, effective, individualized pain management practices. Change is imperative! According to the CDC, it is estimated that 50 million U.S. adults suffer in chronic pain, with 19.6 million in high-impact chronic pain (J.Dahlhamer, et al 2016).*

This book is intended for a mature audience (adults) with themes of language, intense physical pain, depression, social injustices, suicide and sexual references. It is a relatively easy read in terms of length, but may be emotionally difficult at times if you relate to the story and themes. Either way, I think you will be happy with the direction this story takes. Thank you for your support!
