STAN LEE is known to millions as the man who co-created such legendary comic book superheroes as Spider-Man, the X-Men, Daredevil, and the Incredible Hulk, among hundreds of others. He has written numerous best-selling books, most recently Excelsior!: The Amazing Life of Stan Lee, his autobiography written with George Mair, and has been the co-executive producer for numerous animation projects starring Spider-Man and the X-Men, as well as the Spider-Man, X-Men, X2, Daredevil, and Hulk movies. Stan lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Joan.

TIM JESSELL is known for his realistic"with a twist" style, rendered in pastels and mixed media. His work has been used for illustration in editorial, advertising, book, and institutional projects. He has received numerous awards, including the Gold Medal from the Society of Illustrations, and was named Illustrator of the Year by Adweek magazine. When not at his drawing board, Tim spends his time with his wife and three children in Stillwater, Oklahoma, training falcons in the sport of falconry, playing softball, and drumming for a local rock "n" roll band.
