Stamping Out the Virus is a detailed study of the allied forces intervention in the Russian Civil War in North Russia at Archangel, Vaga and Dvina Rivers from 1918-19. Over 15,000 British, American and French troops were secretly sent to establish a viable North Russian army are government to stop the birth of Communism. The goal was to advance down the Vaga and Dvina Rivers towards Kotlas to join forces with the approaching White army under Kolchak, which was trying to advance on Moscow. Over 13 battalions, a US regiment, over 10 gunships and monitors and scores of aircraft.
