Overview

Spirit Led Worship

Worship leading under the direction of the Holy Spirit is less talked about than any other aspect of running a worship team. There are many conferences, and a plethora of books and videos available to Music Directors, regarding the best way to maximize the potential of the team, how to deal with personalities, about excellence and practice techniques, about you as a leader, coordinating the band, how to encourage your team, and so the list goes on. These are the workings or mechanics of running the team. When it actually comes down to learning to work with the Holy Spirit, there is a large silent pause.

In John 16:14, Jesus, speaking of the Holy Spirit, explains:

"He will glorify me, for He will take what is mine and declare it to you." – John 16:14 ESV

Given that it is the Holy Spirit who reveals God's glory to us, surely He should be in charge of our worship. Who better to help us worship as we ought? Who better to lead us into perfect praise?

This book is an attempt to correlate all the lessons the Holy Spirit has taught Karen over the years. It is through these lessons that Karen hopes that others will go on further than she ever did, bypassing the same mistakes, to run hand in hand with the Holy Spirit to even greater heights.

Now included: Ps Mark Virkler's (author of "Dialogue with God") awe inspiring description of "Throne Room Worship", and how to take your whole congregation with you to the very throne of God.

About the Author

Karen was always singing and writing songs since soon after she could barely speak. By the time she was saved at 16 years of age, she was already leading a small church folk band at regular services, as well as playing and worship leading for other groups and events in her home town of Ballarat. This ministry blossomed for over the span of nearly thirty years.

She has spoken at several worship conferences, ran conferences, and organised intercity & inter-church large worship events, all of which has now culminated in this insightful and useful written book – a book that any aspiring worship leader, and even those who have been leading for some time, can grasp and use to propel their leading into greater heights of worship.

Today, Karen is still writing songs, and worship leads at various events when asked, but is not part of any particular team. Her focus now is on training the next generation into leaders of glorious worship. If you’d like Karen to come and speak to and/or coach your team, or to book Karen for worship seminars, or for private worship coaching, please contact .
