Spin: A Novelette
"To regular passersby, the brick façade on Washington Street between 7th and 8th was nothing more than an abandoned host for disgruntled bursts of graffiti, petrified chewing gum, and the benign city smells of urine and cigarette smoke; but to those with desperation and regret hanging in their chests, they saw something different. If the sunlight peeked out behind the clouds just right, like it was doing now, you could see the thin, dotted outline of a doorframe, the glint of a display window, the shutter of a neon sign which proclaimed not just Open, but Come In, too."

Forty-one years ago, Walter made a split-second decision that cost him everything he held dear. Ever since that fateful day, Walter has lived with regret in his chest and an ache in his heart that cannot be mended. Now, he has a chance to travel back in time and right his personal wrongs...but he doesn't know what's on the other side. Will Walter be able to change the past and build the future he always dreamed of? Or does fate have something else in store for him?

Spin: A Novelette is a colorful ride through record stores, music of the 70s, magic, science fiction, and the things we'll do for love.

About the Author

Tiffany Michelle Brown likes to write about monsters, the ones that haunt your dreams and the ones that sleep next to you in bed at night. Intrigued by human psychology and inspired by the likes of Dan Simmons, Gillian Flynn, Stephen King, and H.P. Lovecraft, Tiffany enjoys writing about anything that’s a little left of center. An Arizona native, she holds dual degrees in English and Creative Writing from the University of Arizona. Tiffany has published short stories with Penduline Press, Black Denim Lit, Blank Fiction Literary Magazine, Shooter Literary Magazine, and will be published in anthologies produced by Elektrik Milkbath Press and Line by Lion Publications in the fall of 2015. Tiffany lives in San Diego with her boyfriend, Bryan, and their two dogs, Biscuit and Zen. When she isn’t writing, Tiffany can be found on a yoga mat, sipping whisky, or reading the works of Neil Gaiman?sometimes all at once.
