The Culture/Trojan line of Spicy pulps began in 1934 with Spicy-Detective Stories. It's
popularity spawned four more "Spicy" titles, including Spicy-Adventure Stories. One of
the publishers connected to the Culture/Trojan group was none other than eventual
cofounder of D.C. Comics, Harry Donenfeld.
The stories contained here-in were published to shock and titllate the reader. Often the
main protagonist was an American male in a foreign land who is either dragged into a
situation in order to save the damsel in distress or he was drawn into a particular melee
by the willies of an exotic temptress. Regardless of the circumstances, these stories are
exciting, and seductive in their appeal.
Collected inside are three issues of Spicy-Adventure Stories. They are Volume four, issue
#6, Volume #thirteen, #3 and Volume sixteen, issue #5.
This book is available in both hardcover a trade paperback editions
