About the Author

Barry Turner is a Senior Lecturer in Media Law and Public Administration at the University of Lincoln and at The Centre for Broadcasting and Journalism, Nottingham Trent University, UK. Barry is also Senior Lecturer in science and environmental journalism and teaches in Forensic and Biomedical Sciences and in Mental Health Law.

Richard Orange is managing director of Orchard News Bureau Ltd, a media consultancy and online publishing business, which specialises in media law, local government and winter sports journalism. He worked as a general news reporter, sub-editor and political correspondent for newspapers in Bristol, Cheshire, Staffordshire and Lincolnshire. He also worked as a lecturer in journalism, teaching media law, public administration, newswriting and freelancing skills.
