About the Author

John Eng is a photographer, art director, animation director, and filmmaker who grew up in New York and now works mainly in Los Angeles. His photography has appeared in L.A. Magazine, Dwell, CA Modern magazine, and L.A. Conservancy publications. Adriene Biondo is a freelance photographer who has been affiliated with the L.A. Conservancy for many years. She has earned her numerous historic preservation awards, including the California Preservation Foundation's 2008 President's Award.
