THE VINTNER'S REVENGE:

Jake Morrison, erstwhile attorney, and Angel Zara Jane, are back on the paranormal investigations with Paradise Paranormal Investigations, Inc., their fledgling company. Not all is the way that it should be at the Steiger's ranch in Santa Barbara, California, and Zara Jane and Jake return to the scene of their very first investigation. But this time, the crime is murder, and the body might have never been discovered had it not been for the unique talents of the protagonists. Their Maserati is sabotaged, precluding their ability to leave - it is almost as if the forces at play want to force their hand to solve the crime. Paranormal forces enter the scene, and guide Zara Jane and Jake to find the answers they need, but not the outcome they expected. Now they find themselves in a race against time to stop the killer before that person can strike again. In an on-again, off-again funeral, Jake has to rush and get the Steiger family's blessing to stop the cremation, believing that this would forever hide the evidence. Jake has to file legal papers to freeze the body, to allow him and Zara Jane to piece together the clues and bring justice and closure to a family ripped apart by the killer in their midst.

Over the past ten years I have been employed as “parking traffic judge” with a variety of cities in the Southern California area, conducting literally thousands of parking citation contest hearings.

Several years ago, I developed the prototype of an anti-theft, anti-carjacking device, known as the “Auto Avenger,”* and received and was issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. I hold a Jures Doctor legal degree, along with a Masters Degree in Planning from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, and Bachelors in Economics and Comparative African Government and Law from the University of Cape Town, Cape Town, South Africa.

As a consultant, I have spoken widely to groups across the country on the changing Social, Technological, Environmental, Economic, Political and Legal trends affecting the United States of America in the post-Industrial Information Age. The topic of my presentations concentrated on the “Paradigm Shift: Stabilizers and “Destabilizes.” While change is a constant in our lives, what makes today’s world different is the vastly accelerated pace of change. Each period in history can be remembered for the interplay of trends and events that changed society. Studying forces of change gives us an explanation of ourselves and our environment, especially given the fact that these forces do more than affect society – they can challenge accepted beliefs and practices, sometimes violently as they alter society’s operative paradigm. By identifying signals of change, the often subtle shifting paradigm reveals threats, challenges, as well as opportunities. As one of the few “corporate futurists,” it was my task to lead discussions and retreats into organizational change, and alternative futures by helping illuminate the way. Strategic thinking.

When in South Africa I served with the Directorate of Public Relations, running the Cape Town branch office out the “The Castle” in Cape Town, what used to be a 17th Century fort.
