No life worth living is without loss, pain, or heartache: Lee Adams' life was no exception.
Lee knew from an early age that he was living a blessed, full life, and he was determined not to take one moment for granted. Being the only child of a well-to-do family afforded him many opportunities that others can only dream about. However, unlike many of his counterparts, Lee was not driven by money, power, or lust for the pleasure his wealth could acquire. Lee was a follower of Jesus. He genuinely attempted to focus on the teachings of Christ. The thing that motivated Lee the most was relationships. His relationship with God began when he was fourteen and was easily his top priority. Lee's parents, James and Maude Adams, taught him the value of loving and helping others. Through their example, Lee learned how to utilize his wealth and influence for the benefit of others.
Lee was also deeply in love with a young woman; Melissa Covington was Lee's first love.
No life worth living is without conflict, loss, pain, or heartache; Lee's was no exception. The disconcerting message two New Jersey State Troopers shared with Lee at his parent's front door significantly altered his life. From that moment on Lee was forced to re-evaluate his priorities, his faith in God – and his moral compass. After an arduous bout with anger, resentment, alcohol and a chasm of unanswered questions, Lee decided to restore his relationship with God. Doing so also led Lee to discover another love waiting for him: Lee discovered Aubrey McEwing. He found his soul-mate the day he met Aubrey in an unassuming lobby of a photo lab (Lee was a photographer by trade).
This story doesn't end with Lee meeting and falling in love with Aubrey; in a unique way, it actually begins with their predestined encounter. In addition, Aubrey is not the last woman Lee will fall in love with during this tale of love and mystery.
And then there was Rebecca.
