Overview

Soulmate: A person we are destined to be with that is "made" for us by God. But what if you are destined to be alone or the one you feel destined to be with is unobtainable? This every plaguing question stays on the mind of Roslyn Jones mind as she conquers the age old tale of love and life. Roslyn starts her journey as a newly turned 20-year-old, and allows the audience to feed and feel every emotion she has. Roslyn accepts and challenges life's expectations and she tries navigating her 20's.
New published author Haley Mechelle calls Roslyn "the protagonist who creates the antagonist in herself." Roslyns ever expanding experiences prove that no matter what the outcome of a situation is that we should always try moving forward, even when the past is calling out to you.
In Soulmate: City Lights, we grow with Roslyn and learn that even love in its most simple form can be complicated, and we see a young girl transform before our eyes into a young woman.

About the Author

At 19 years old, Haley found inspiration in her college com- munications course and began to explore this idea that she could capture her life in the form of her heroine, Roslyn Jones. Haley knew that this journey to properly creating a novel on her own would not be easy and she wanted to let the world, or even one reader know that life mistakes are inevitable and to embrace who you are and who you can become despite obstacles. Haley found a lost love during this self exploration and she met wonderful and inspiring friends. Two characters in her novel are based on her old friend and her lost lover respectively. Haley has been writing since she was a young child and while most of her previous works included homages to her favorite author Dean Koontz, Haley wanted the world to be able to find a realistic styled woman to truly grow with. After five years of writing, three colleges, two degrees, one wild love, one wild friendship, and countless support from her family and friends, Haley is proud and honored to introduce the world to her heroine Roslyn Jones in Soulmate: City Lights.
