About the Author

Judith Horky has had a passion for the written word since grade school. After raising her family, Judy returned to the University of Nevada-Reno to pursue a degree in journalism. Her last class—TV production—resulted in a teaching position at the university, which turned her life around, opening the door to freelance work as a producer, associate director and stage manager. At the same time, a friend introduced her to the metaphysical world, another life altering experience which launched her search for understanding. Her spiritual journey continues to this day. In 1987, Judy and her husband, Jim, formed Sweetwater Video Production Services in Los Angeles. After many years of entrepreneurial challenges, Sweetwater was sold, allowing Judy the time to fulfill her life-long dream. To write. EarthShift was born in 2001 and is now followed by its sequel, Soul Shift—2012 and Beyond. Judy and Jim live with their pound puppy, Jesse, in Southern Colorado, surrounded by sparkling lakes, majestic pines, colorful aspens, and the magnificent mountains they love.

Second in the EarthShift series, Soul Shift is not only an exciting page-turner, but it is chock full of wisdom and inspiring messages. I enjoyed her first novel so much that I could hardly wait to read her sequel. And I was not disappointed. The characters come to life as familiar and profound friends, most of whom have made it through the first shift and are now facing "the big one." It's more than just a story of a family preparing for its most crucial role in 2012. It's a must read for all.
