About the Author

Courtney is a wife and mother to twins. She was born and raised on the South side of Chicago. She has been writing since high school and has a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. Despite the English degree, she held a passion for women's health to the point of obtaining a secondary Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences, completing her capstone on Gestational Diabetes Mellitus. While pregnant, she grew more focused on ensuring that she would be able to breastfeed, especially with twins, so she consulted with lactation consultants, other experienced moms, and her own research to ensure her success
