One thing that I learnt in life is that you cannot always trust everyone that you meet. Even those that are around you that you trust, they are not always going to be there for you, because each and every individual has their own lives to live. Yes we can be there for friends and family, good times and bad. Be there to offer help when they need it; be there to listen to them; be there to lend a shoulder. But sometimes as humans we can't always be there for them. We might be facing problems of our own, and can't deal with someone else's. I decided to stop relying on people when I needed help and found the perfect way to deal with my stresses. People use different methods to help them escape the troubles in their lives, help them release the stress that they are going through. Some result to drinking, smoking, reading, excising, as for me, I result to writing. When I write, it's just me, the pen and the paper. I can pour my feelings out, and in a strange way the pen and paper are listening to me. The feeling of pouring my heart out for as long as it takes, and then know that there is not judgment or unwanted comments to follow is a great feeling. It also feels good knowing that I am not burdening anyone when I talk to them about the trials and tribulations that I have been facing.
