Overview

Two Scottish brothers, one in Scotland and one in the American Colonies, are on different paths in the 1600's. Their lives at times turn upside down with sudden changes that they must cope with even while separated from each other. Romance is thrust upon each brother as well as dangerous intrigue. Whether they are overcoming the trials set before them or evading captors, they call upon what their forefathers have passed on to them. They never forget their heritage even when world's apart and fate seems to have other plans for them.

About the Author

This is my first novel, but certainly not my last. I was born and raised in Ohio, but have found a new home in the mountains of Tennessee. I've been married for 37 years and have two children and two grandchildren. I am also a bi-weekly columnist for our county newspaper. I am well versed in world and American history, but it is my love for Scotland that encouraged me to put pen to paper. I found that the words would flow as if someone were telling me what to write next and where the book should go. My characters came alive to me and I just followed their lead. In my spare time I enjoy hiking the Smoky Mountains so I can have time to myself to recharge my batteries.
