Overview

It's the first big snow of the season and everyone is excited to get out and play except for Poppy. She would like nothing more than to hunker down in front of the fireplace with a good book or watch TV. At the urging of her friends, and insistence of her mom, Poppy makes her way outside and is pleasantly surprised to find she enjoys playing in the snow.

Working at a school (and having two of her own children) gives Michele Jakubowski more than enough experiences to draw from when writing middle-level fiction. Michele lives in Powell, Ohio, with her husband, John, and their children, Jack and Mia.

Erica-Jane Waters writes and illustrates children's books and creates art for magazines, greeting cards, and various other projects. She lives in Oxfordshire, England, with her family.
