About the Author

Cheri Pellegrino Khorram was born and raised in a small town, 20 minutes north of Boston, called Danvers, Massachusetts. It was in the Danvers' Peabody Institute Library where she acquired a love of children's books, her favorite being the books of Dr. Seuss. She fondly remembers spending many summer days as a kid sitting on the library floor in front of the bookshelves and reading book after book, never bothering to take a book to a table to read because it would only slow her down from getting to the next one. At the age of 14 she moved to NH where she still resides today.

I bought 6 and I was so excited to receive them. 3 were for my children aged 7, 4, and almost 2. They love the book and my 2 oldest can relate to wanting a snow day too. Ha! I gave one to my youngest son's preschool class and the teacher told me her class loved the book. That it was funny, charming, and a great story. She said the rhyming helped to show and emphasize what they were learning in class. Another one was given to my oldest son's school librarian. She loved it so much...

Love the book! I bought it because I am from Danvers & went to the school depicted on the cover. I bought the book for my grandson who loved it. Although it was anxiety provoking as an adult to think of the oncoming winter and being stuck in the house so long last winter, it was fun to recall back to childhood to the excitement of snow days (as much as I hate them, I DID love no work snow days last winter!). The illustrations are great and the story is fun to read. A great book for every library
